In the last few months we've been delighted to welcome some new faces. Let us introduce ourselves to you.
Behind LITA there's a whole group: about 40 people in total. Each member of the Belgian team is daily in contact with their French and Italian counterparts. You may already have met Eva Sadoun or Julien Benayoun, our two co-founders? Or Léo Garnier who worked for Belgium 3 years and is now developing Rift for LITA, the "yuka of finance"? Behind the platform, a whole team of developers is coordinated by Rémi Cornebise, who makes the link with each of us. Alongside them, a team of 20 people manages the relations between entrepreneurs and investors.
Focus on the Belgian team
She has been developing LITA Belgium for the past 4 years. With an inexhaustible enthusiasm and driving force, Céline has been active in social entrepreneurship for about a decade. Her mission is to ensure that everyone can contribute to changing the world, in their own way. She believes that we all have the attitude of heroes within us. That's why she connects entrepreneurs, investors and the ecosystem of economic players who contribute to tackling the challenges of our time.
"We are at a crossroad: between a predatory economy that is destructive of the environment and the social connection, and an economy dedicated to the transition and the transformation of the world into a better one. Which world do we choose?" - Céline Bouton
He joined LITA in September 2020. With his considerable experience both in NGOs and in the world of finance (ex-CEO of Greenpeace Belgium, regional manager at Bank of Africa, etc.), LITA was an obvious choice for Vincent: "I find in this job somehow the best of both worlds. With a strong sense of entrepreneurship, LITA.co develops financial products for the benefit of tomorrow's society, ecological and social." To learn more about Vincent, read this blog post.
"Denouncing the excesses of the economic and financial system goes hand in hand with taking action for a better world." - Vincent De Brouwer
Raphael is Impact Investment Manager and he coordinates the analyst team. He is on the front line to select and structure investment offers for you. He worked in the financial sector, in renewable energy and set up several volunteer projects. His motivation for working at LITA is to make the economy more transparent and to make finance accessible to all. He's fond of the saying "Festina Lente" or "Hurry slowly", because he likes to work with the right balance between haste and accuracy. And accuracy, that comes in handy when making the famous "due-diligences"! Those are the in-depth (extra-)financial analyses on which the investment files are based that you can read 🤓.
"LITA is an opportunity to value and contribute to what matters to everyone." - Raphaël Beaumond
Margot sees LITA as an organization that helps finance the transition to a sustainable and resilient economy, and does so with a unique financing strategy through citizen savings, to encourage each of us to take our future into our own hands. With a wealth of degrees, she accompanies French-speaking entrepreneurs, analyzing the risks and opportunities of the investment offer but also the real nature of their impact.
"I continue to grow on both an intellectual and human level with each new funded project." - Margot Mabille
Menno worked at Deloitte, has a passion for impact and loves to be inspired by entrepreneurs from a wide variety of sectors: "One day we're talking about social housing and the next about aquaponics or tech for good. The companies in our dealflow differ in many ways but one: they all strive to make a positive impact!" While the financial component of a business is crucial, the impact it has on its employees, on society and on the planet is equally important. A leitmotif for his daily work.
"To me, LITA is personal fight to co-create the world I want to live in. Act small – think big!" - Menno
After working as a lawyer and traveling around the world, Madeleine chose LITA because she wanted to see initiatives emerge that lead to a different society. She is also a member of NewB's social committee. "Supporting businesses that think differently by helping them with their financing is a very relevant way to work towards a change of model." At LITA, she is responsible for the fundraising campaigns for which she interacts with investors and entrepreneurs on a daily basis. Every day she strives to make the financial world understandable and transparent to make it accessible to as many people as possible, because "everyone can decide where their money goes and what it is used for."
"The companies I work with every day are small, local, human, ambitious, flexible and resilient in this changing world. They are full of ideas and want only one thing: to develop! Are you interested? Have a look around on our platform or contact us!" - Madeleine Krings
Muriel is in charge of communication, in 3 languages! As a musician-composer from Ghent, she's the creative one who offers you quality content on our different channels (FB, IG, LinkedIn). She is also in charge of the digital strategy with Céline and a part of the French team of LITA. A jack-of-all-trades!
"Working at LITA gives me meaningful and enriching experiences day after day, as well as structure in my chaotic musician life. It's challenging, varied and above all with a passionate and dynamic team." - Muriel Boulanger
At LITA Belgium, we also regularly welcome interns and we take their training to heart.
